Neeraj Vij, MS, Ph.D. ATSF
Neeraj Vij, MS, Ph.D. ATSF serves as a prominent scientist with expertise in therapeutic development and targeted interventions. Dr. Vij’s laboratory over the years have been involved in development of novel prognosis-based intervention strategies targeting cellular signaling, disease causing mechanisms, and leading bench to bedside translation for serving the critical unmet needs of patients.
Dr Vij completed his postdoctoral research at University of Heidelberg, Germany and Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (JHU SOM) followed by recent professional certification in Drug and Medical Device Development from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He was Assistant Professor at the Department of Pediatrics, Pulmonary Medicine and Institutes of Nano-Biotechnology and Global Health, JHU before moving to Central Michigan University as an Associate Professor and continues to serve as an Adjunct Associate Professor at JHU.
Dr Vij has extensively published in high-impact journals, serves on the Editorial Boards of several journals and has been recognized as American Thoracic Society Fellow (ATSF) for his academic accomplishments. He also serves on Drug/Device Discovery and Development committee of ATS and is frequently invited as an expert reviewer for grant review study sections.
He is a Life Member of American Society for Nano Medicine (ASNM) and several other international scientific societies. He is a recipient of several research awards, grants (NIH, NSF, CFF, FAMRI etc.) and recognition for his scientific contributions. He has also been involved in training and education of students and research/clinical fellows in various capacities leading to placements at top-tier universities, medical schools and companies.
In addition to his academic accomplishments, Dr. Vij has lead Research and Clinical Development for various companies, while collaborating with established pharmaceuticals and top-tier hospitals.
