Diann Shaddox Foundation for Essential Tremor
The Aiken Wine & Sign was held April 21 at the Municipal Building in downtown Aiken. More than 20 authors gathered for the 2018 fundraiser, and the new Aiken Pot Smokers BBQ, located on Silver Bluff Road, sold barbecue during the event and River Watch Brewery offered its craft beer. The event also featured wine and music by Bryon Bush with Bright & Bold Entertainment.
A Dine-Around Restaurant Raffle was held, and the winner was Lauree Hamilton. Thirty-eight restaurants participated, each donating a $25 gift card. Hamilton was the winner of all the gift cards.
Proceeds from the event benefitted the Diann Shaddox Foundation for Essential Tremor, an Aiken-based organization that raises funds and brings awareness to essential tremor.
There are 42 million people worldwide living with Essential Tremor. Essential Tremor is a progressive neurological condition that causes a rhythmic trembling of the hands, head, voice, legs, or body, according to a new release.
